COVID-19 OPERATIONAL PLAN

Updated November 20th, 2020. Updates will be highlighted in green. Please read this plan in it's entirety as it will be necessary to follow all protocols to keep our clients safe <3

 

  • Health & Safety

 

Your health & safety are our number one priority. Classes will be structured differently in order to maintain maximum safety. We do ask that you are upfront & honest with us about your personal health and if there are any changes to it, to let us know immediately. No late charges or cancellation fees will be charged if you let The Studio know directly through private message or email that you cannot attend due to sickness. There are new waivers to be signed online on your ScheduleHouse account before coming to class (Choose the Waiver tab under My Profile).

 

  • Entry/Exit

 

We will be utilizing both the entrance at the front & the rear of the building. Please check the schedule to see which room your class is in. If your class is in the Aerial Room or All Rooms, you must enter & exit through the front door. If your class is in the Pole Room, you must enter & exit through the rear door. The doors will open 15 minutes before class and we ask that you wait in your vehicle, or if you are walking that you don’t gather right at the doors into the building. Once the doors have opened, you may enter, one at a time, maintaining 6 feet in between you and the person going in before you. The building must be cleared of students in between classes in order for the cleaning & preparation of the next class.

 

  • Masks

 

A non-medical mask or face covering will be required to enter the building, and is to be worn at all times. 

 

  • Hand Sanitizer & Temperatures

 

Your instructor will greet you at the door and provide hand sanitizer upon entry. They will also be taking your temperature at the same time.

 

  • Distancing 

 

Once you’ve entered the building and removed your shoes, you can continue to one of the spots marked on the floor. Please move to the furthest marked spot, so that the class will fill from front to back. The front room is a no stop zone, as soon as your shoes are off you must proceed directly into the main room and to your spot.

 

  • Changing Rooms & Washroom

 

Please come prepared & changed for class as the changing rooms are currently off limits & there is only one washroom. The washroom will be cleaned before each class, however it’s only available in case of emergency.

 

  • Equipment

 

There will be one student per apparatus with the appropriate distancing in between. Crash mats will still be provided & will be disinfected between classes. For the foreseeable future, participants must provide their own non-fixed equipment such as yoga mats, yoga blocks, pole cloths (either terrycloth or microfibre), hoop chalk etc. That being said, we are asking that you only bring what is necessary to the specific class you're attending to minimize the amount of bags and personal belongings in our limited space. You can take your personal things with you and put them to the closest wall.

 

  • Schedule

 

All classes will be 1 hour (with the exception of Body Blast and Abs & Butts which are 45 minutes), and there will be a 45 minute break between classes to allow for a thorough cleaning before the next class. Classes will begin at 6:30PM & 8:15PM and the doors will be unlocked 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. We ask that you arrive early enough to stagger yourselves coming through the door, and that you leave promptly once class is over so the cleaning can begin immediately. Class sizes have also been reduced to maintain social distancing. Abs & Butts and Body Blast will be changed to a low intensity format as long as we have to wear masks in class. Class sizes are limited so please be considerate to your fellow pole dancers & aerialists and only sign up for classes you can commit to coming to. Late cancels & no shows will be charged the regular loss of a class from your package or $15 fee for membership holders (unless there is a concern that you are showing any signs/symptoms of COVID-19, in which case we ask that you contact us immediately & do not come back until you are fully recovered). 

* due to the small number we are able to accommodate in hoop, there will be two Hoop Level 1 classes each week. Please only sign up for one of these to give your fellow hoopers a chance to also attend class. If there are open spaces available there will be a post made in the community about the availably.
