FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

You have a question? We have an answer!

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?

The Studio's class schedule runs every day of the week! The doors will open 15 minutes before class start times and close promptly when classes begin. For same-day response, please contact us by e-mail at info@thestudioaaf.com and we will respond within 24-hrs.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Pole classes require shorts above the knees in order to safely perform holds and movement on the apparatus. Aerial classes require shirts with sleeves (t-shirts are fine) and leggings, without zippers or hardware. Fabric should be fitted and stretchy to allow for movement without getting in the way. For cross-training and flexibility classes it is recommended to wear comfortable and stretchy materials.

WHAT LEVEL SHOULD I TAKE?

Take a look at our class descriptions for a better understanding of our levels. If you are still not sure, e-mail us at info@thestudioaaf.com and tell us a little bit about your experience and history with aerial or fitness. Students interested in taking a higher level class or moving up a level are encouraged to seek the advice of their instructor.

I'M NOT STRONG/FLEXIBLE ENOUGH, I HAVE NO BACKGROUND IN DANCE OR GYMNASTICS, AND I HAVE TWO LEFT FEET. HOW CAN THIS POSSIBLY BE FOR ME?

We all began as new students! Our classes and level separations are designed to allow all students - regardless of background, body, age, etc. - to feel successful. By taking the first step and trying a class, you have already succeeded. Anything that happens during the class is just bonus!

ARE YOUR CLASSES ONLY OPEN TO WOMEN?

While some pole and aerial studios are women-only based, we welcome all genders in our classes!

WHAT IS YOUR AGE REQUIREMENT?

We welcome students 14 years and older. If you are under the age of 18, we will require parental consent while signing a waiver on your first visit to The Studio. For Kids & Tweens ages 6-13, please see our Aerial Kids & Tweens Series.

DO YOU OFFER STUDENT DISCOUNTS?

Yes! We offer a student membership price. Check out our membership page for more details. We will require a valid student ID. Purchases must be made in-person for this discount.

WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL CLASS?

We have a 6-hour cancellation policy for regular classes (which includes having been added in off a waitlist), workshops, and series, and a 24-hour cancellation policy for parties and private classes. Please take a look at our cancellation policy for more details.

CAN I JOIN CLASS IF I AM RUNNING LATE?

Once classes have started students will be unable to join the class. Our doors will be locked at class start time. Please check out our Studio Etiquette page for more information.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?

Comfortable and appropriate clothing for specific classes, grips, water, yoga mat, an open mind and willingness to try (and maybe even fly)!

WHERE CAN I PARK?

We have parking spots available at the front of the building, as well as an open parking lot in the back. Please DO NOT park in the 2 spaces in front of AfroLatino.

DO YOU PROVIDE YOGA MATS?

We encourage students to bring their own mats, and will provide studio mats for a rental fee of $1 per class.
