POLE CLASSES

Our pole classes are lead by certified and knowledgeable instructors. Whether you have never taken a pole dance or fitness class before, or have already competed at an international level, our classes have something to inspire, challenge, and empower you. Our classes are open to all genders, bodies, ages, and fitness levels.


Your journey with pole will be a personal one - be it fitness, performance art, classic and sexy, or gymnastic-spired - and having a community like The Studio to encourage your personal expression and style can make all the difference. Students interested in taking a higher level class are encouraged to seek the advice of their instructor.

INTRO TO POLE

Beginner

Our Intro to Pole classes offer students the opportunity to get to know the pole as a dance partner and tool for exploring their own movement. Students will become familiar with fundamental tricks and spins, and climbing preparation. This class will lay the foundation for a safe and successful pole life.

Please refrain from using lotions or oils the day of class.  Shorts above the knee are recommended for this class.

POLE LEVEL 1

Beginner-Intermediate

If you have taken Intro to Pole and are comfortable with the Fireman Hold, as well as other tricks and spins like Back Hook and Pirouette, you sound ready to take your pole practice to new heights! Our Level 1 class will build on the foundational elements learned in Intro to Pole, including spin pole, flows, floorwork, and tricks. Conditioning and strengthening exercises will be introduced and will become a helpful part of your journey. You will also learn how to use that climbing preparation to float your way up the pole! We encourage newer Level 1 students to continue taking Intro to Pole as a way to work on the fundamentals that contribute to even more success in Level 1.

POLE LEVEL 2

Intermediate

You’ve climbed up the pole, held yourself by your thighs, rolled around on the floor, and are feeling ready to see the world from a new perspective. Level 2 will build off of your Level 1 knowledge by introducing new tricks, new grips, juicier flows, and, of course, an introduction to inversions! In this class we will continue to work on strength training and conditioning, while learning our basic inversions and leg hangs, in addition to more complicated upright tricks. For some, this may be the first time we ever go upside down and we encourage all our students to continue taking Level 1 classes to supplement a Level 2 practice. All of our instructors are certified and trained to help guide you into a safe and empowered upside-down life. Let’s defy the laws gravity together!

POLE LEVEL 3

Intermediate - Advanced

If you are comfortable inverting into your leg hangs and basic inversions, Level 3 will be your next step! Here we will build off of what you’ve learned in Level 2 by incorporating more advanced inversions and techniques. This class will introduce and play with strength moves (like Shoulder Mount and aerial inversions), flexibility tricks (Jade, Layback Bridge, etc.), power spins on static, and new holds (Brass Monkey, Ayesha, etc.). Expect a good amount of class time dedicated to being upside down so feeling very comfortable in Level 2 inversions is essential. If you are a newer Level 3 student, we suggest that you continue to take Level 2 while evolving into Level 3.

POWER HOUR

Open Level (Level 1+)

Power Hour is an open level class (must have a strong foundation in at least Level 1) designed specifically to work on strength training and conditioning techniques. This conditioning class will work all the necessary muscle groups and target all the essential techniques for your strongest pole self. While you won’t be leaving with a bag of new tricks or a flowy sequence, feel confident knowing that your strength, agility, and active flexibility will be tested and developed in this class. Training power gains control which leads to grace!

HEELS TECHNIQUE & TRANSITIONS - HEELS CHOREOGRAPHY

Open Level (Level 1+)

Embrace your sensuality and fierceness in our heels classes! Celebrate the roots of pole dance while also developing your own unique style! Nervous or new to heels movement? No worries! The fun and supportive atmosphere of heels based pole dance will help promote self-confidence and quality of movement. Focus will be placed on fluidity and transitions as opposed to traditional tricks. Heels are encouraged but not mandatory. Knee pads will be provided for floorwork, or feel free to bring your own. Please note that this is not a beginner class, and some experience in Pole Level 1 is required.

POLE CONDITIONING

Open Level (Level 1+)

Looking to make some serious gains in your pole life? Pole Conditioning is an open level class (must have a strong foundation in Level 1) designed specifically to make you stronger with the pole, for the pole. This conditioning class will work all the necessary muscle groups and target all the essential techniques for your strongest pole self. While you won’t be leaving with a bag of new tricks or a flowy sequence, feel confident knowing that your strength, agility, and active flexibility will be tested and developed in this class. Forget about those regular strength training exercises, and tap into your beast mode on the pole with us every Thursday night!

OPEN POLE

Open Level

Our Open Pole classes are the perfect way to practice everything you've learned from your classes. Please note that these classes are one hour long with no instructors present. Our regular late arrival and no-show policies apply.
