Justines love of pole art and fitness grew in the summer of 2013. As an undergraduate student in Fredericton, she found herself commuting home to Moncton every week just to train - for 2 years. It became clear to her that pole and aerial would play a large part in her future. Justine has gone on to compete in 10 pole art and fitness competitions on regional, national, and international stages, taking home six gold medals and one silver. She holds a BA in Psychology, is a certified Anti-Gravity Instructor, and has earned her Flexibility and Pole Fitness Instructor training through ElevatED. Justine spent the first 6 months of 2017 studying and training at Body & Pole in NYC, and has been influenced heavily by the style and techniques of her instructors. Her favourite aspects of the aerial arts include the ability to reconnect with her body and herself, to combine theatrical storytelling through performance, creating dialogue about what it means to be a feminist and pole dancer, and watching students both mentally and physically take

For Anneke, fitness has been a part of her life from an early age. As an adult Anneke spent 10 years serving in the Canadian Armed Forces as an Armoured Reconnaissance Soldier, in addition to becoming a licensed helicopter pilot. After participating in competitive sports and countless attempts at finding a traditional gym regime that she enjoyed, the search began to find something unique and - most decisively - fun! This search lead Anneke to the discovery of pole fitness is 2012. It can be said that she has never looked back since! This fitness and art form became her passion quickly, as she grew to explore all areas of aerial arts - and in as many continents as possible! Anneke loves to take her passion internationally, whether that be for training, competing, or earning teacher certifications.  Her certifications include elevatED Pole 1 & 2, elevatED Flexibility, Deflying Fitness Handstands, and is also a CPFA Master Pole Trainer for the East Coast Region!  She has competed on both regional and international stages and has performed throughout the Maritimes. Her specialties and interests include dynamic and strength-based tricks, heel work, and flexibility training. Anneke is inspired and motivated to introduce others to the world of aerial arts and fitness!

Since her earliest days, Jill has always looked for any opportunity to fight against the laws of gravity - climbing trees, swinging on monkey bars, scaling cliffs. Her infatuation with circus arts began in these days when she would dream of flying and spinning along with the acrobats she watched in circus specials on TV. Not unlike many adults, she grew out of these dreams of flight, believing that she would never be able to achieve these incredible feats. That is, until she challenged herself to take her first aerial hammock class in 2011. These aerial classes reignited the flame within herself, allowing her to finally experience the true potential and passion that had been stirring since childhood. The aerial arts opened the door for her to find her calling within the community: teaching aerial hoop. Her specialty includes creating fluid combinations, while her favourite aspect of teaching is being able to watch her students grow in self-confidence, mastery, and passion, just as she has and continues to. Jill has been teaching since 2012 and is a certified aerial hoop instructor.

Emilie is a physiotherapist, in addition to a pole fitness enthusiast! She was inspired to take her first pole class in 2015 after watching a regional competition, motivated to one day be able to achieve the incredible feats she saw on stage. Emilie has since competed and won a gold and silver medal at two regional competitions! She has always had a passion and drive for physical fitness. Before her pole life, Emilie was also a national and international competitor in wrestling. In addition to the joy of moving and strength building that she found in pole, it has been the positive and supportive relationships that encourage her daily. For Emilie, The Studio is not simply a gym to workout, but a positive community that has become a second home for her. She is thrilled to be able to demonstrate her passion, strength, and adoration for pole fitness as a newly certified pole fitness instructor.

Amanda began her pole journey in the fall of 2013, after seeing a friend post a photo on the pole. She was hooked on her first class and went on to study other aerial apparatuses as well, including aerial hammock and hoop. In 2016, Amanda competed in the East Coast Pole Championships, placing second in the Amateur category. She loves being exposed to new pole styles and techniques, and has travelled as far as Europe to learn from some of the best! She wants to help others realize that there is no need for a strong dance background, natural flexibility or strength to enjoy and excel at this sport. She firmly believes that pole and aerial arts are for every body, as long as there is a desire to learn and willingness to let go of negative self-talk. Amanda has her adult education degree, and is a certified pole fitness and aerial hoop instructor.

Mindy’s love for fitness has been with her her entire life. She believes that it is never too late to start moving or try something new. In adulthood, Mindy decided to try her hand at dancing and studied hip hop and breakdancing for four and three years respectively. Pole fitness entered her life six years ago and she was able to find an activity that combined her love of dancing and strength building. It was not long after that she found her love of aerial hoop! As a mother of three young children, she is inspired to teach her daughters how to work toward and achieve their dreams, while learning how to move their bodies in fun and nourishing ways. This care and encouragement directly translates to Mindy’s classes and what she aspires for her students!

Jacinda took her first pole fitness class in 2012, and the passion instantly ignited. It was only a matter of months before she stepped onto the stage to compete at her first competition, taking home a silver medal. Six years later, Jacinda will be competing at the 2018 Halifax Pole Theatre competition! The creative and artistic opportunities found in pole are what continue to draw her to the art specifically. She loves watching others identify their own style and learn to tell their own stories through dance and movement. Jacinda has also competed in the New Brunswick Physique and Figure Association, earning a Nationally Qualified title. Now, a certified pole instructor, she is excited to share her love of pole and support others in discovering their aerial potential.

Stephanie began pole fitness in 2015 and was instantly hooked! She had previously struggled for years to stay involved in monotonous gym routines. She quickly found that pole provided not not only a fun and diverse workout, but that it also afforded her the opportunity to cultivate new and lasting friendships having moved to Moncton not long before. Stephanie is interested in a variety of pole fitness and dance styles, including exotic pole. In 2017, she competed at the national level in the Exotic category at the Canadian Pole Fitness Championships in British Columbia. Stephanie is a certified pole fitness instructor.

Erin’s intrigue to try new things has led her in many different directions throughout her life. She’s travelled the world and loves gaining a new perspective through history, culture and unique experiences. When Erin planted her roots in Moncton she never thought she would discover something that would have such a positive impact on her life. Aerial fitness, a whole new world of sport and movement turned everything she knew about physical activity upside down; literally and metaphorically. For Erin, pole fitness was like love at first sight. The development of new strength challenged and motivated her, while the tricks amazed and inspired her. Her passion grew quickly! Erin has participated in two regional pole fitness competitions. Today, with a few years of training and a few medals under her belt, she is pursuing the next step in her in pole life as a certified pole fitness instructor. Erin is also a certified PiYo instructor through Beachbody. She loves the complimentary relationship between PiYo and pole and the balance, coordination, and strength that they build in everyday life.
